Alan Sheehan has confirmed his interim spell in charge of Swansea City has been extended until the upcoming international break - and admits he would be open to entertaining any potential offer that may come his way from the club as they search for a new permanent manager.
However, the Irishman insists his focus remains on steering Swansea away from relegation trouble, starting with the trip to Preston North End on Tuesday.
Sheehan has been in caretaker charge since the dismissal of Luke Williams last month, and oversaw an impressive 3-0 win over play-off-chasing Blackburn Rovers in the first game of what is now his second interim spell. Sign up to our Swansea City newsletter here.

The search for a permanent successor is already well underway, with new director of football Richard Montague admitting that all options are currently on the table, including the possibility of opting to hand the reins over to the current interim boss. You can read our full interview with him here.
There's also a possibility that a decision might not be made until the end of the season, with Sheehan is now poised to oversee the next four games at least.
After the trip to Deepdale, Swansea host Middlesbrough before travelling to Watford, and then heading back to the Swansea.com Stadium to take on Burnley.
"I've been asked to take the next four games up the international break," he confirmed.
"It's a really tough period. The Championship is so up and down and we've got to find that consistent place and know what we're going to get in every region.
"So I'll take the next four games, and then in the international break we'll assess and see where we're at."
"I think it's fair," he said when quizzed on whether it was an arrangement he was happy with. "I think with the schedule we have coming up, rushing into any decision would be silly.
"As a football club, whatever happens after that, we need to build foundations and start moving forwards, because it's important we start moving forward."
Sheehan may well see this as an opportunity to further force his case to take the job, and while he insists his primary focus is picking up as many points from this next block of games as possible, he also admits he'd be open to listening to any potential offer that came his way.
"If it comes down to it then we'll have a conversation," he added. "If they want me to be that guy and they believe that I'm the guy then we will have a conversation.

"I think it's important the football club gets the right person. that they believe in and they understand that there needs to be changes to be successful. I think everybody's got to be on the same page."
"I'd definitely be interested in having a conversation," he continued. "But you need to speak to them and see how it looks. To be on the same wavelength. This is how so many things can break down and so we have to be on the same page, everybody, in how we want to do things, what way we want to do it etc.
"We've got four games before that. If this all goes well etc then we would have a conversation, and I would imagine they would be having conversations with a lot of potential managers.
"They've just got to make sure they find the right match for this football club to move it forward."
